This location lies at a strategic point of the ancient trade routes of the Arabian Peninsula. It was suddenly abandoned around the fifth century AD. Approximately 12,000 pieces of archaeological remains dating from prehistoric to late pre-Islamic times have been found there. They attest to the succession of three different peoples on the site. It also testifies to their adaptation to changing environmental conditions. Among the archaeological features of the site are tools used by early peoples dating back to the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods. tapered structures, rock piles, and circular buildings. and the sacred mountain known as Khashm Qarya. and petroglyphs. Along with funerary mounds and rock piles, and fortresses\/khanas. The oasis with its ancient water management system and the ruins of the village of Al Faw.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
