Al-Ahsa Oasis, located in the eastern part of the Arabian Peninsula, includes a group of sites such as gardens, irrigation canals, fresh water springs, wells, the Yellow Lake, historical buildings, urban fabric, and archaeological sites that bear witness to the settlement and stability of humans in the Gulf region from the Neolithic era to the present day. This is represented by the remaining historical forts, mosques, springs, canals and other water management systems. Al-Ahsa Oasis is the largest palm oasis in the world, with the number of palm trees in it reaching 2.5 million trees. This unique cultural landscape is an exceptional example of the interaction between humans and their surrounding environment.
