Meeting Between the President of ICOMOS Saudi Arabia and the Acting CEO of the Royal Commission for AlUla to Enhance Cooperation in Cultural Heritage Preservation
Continuing the joint efforts to preserve cultural heritage, the National Committee of ICOMOS, chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Dr. Nouf bint Mohammed Al Saud, and Ms. Abeer Al-Aql, the Acting CEO of the Royal Commission for AlUla, held an important meeting with the Royal Commission for AlUla. The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Suhaibani, Vice President of Heritage, Engineer Mohammed Al-Eidrous, Vice President of ICOMOS Saudi Arabia, Dr. Adnan Adas, General Supervisor of Programs and Partnerships at ICOMOS Saudi Arabia, and Mr. Ahmed Al-Tuwaijri, Director of Partnerships at the Royal Commission.
The meeting reviewed current partnership programs under the cooperation agreement between ICOMOS Saudi Arabia and the Royal Commission for AlUla. Additionally, three new programs aimed at enhancing strategic cooperation and supporting joint efforts in protecting and promoting cultural heritage were discussed.
Both ICOMOS Saudi Arabia and the Royal Commission for AlUla aspire to make AlUla a knowledge hub for the preservation of cultural heritage.
