International Day of Monuments and Sites (IDMS)
On the occasion of the International Day of Monuments and Archaeological Sites, ICOMOS, in cooperation with the Diriyah Gate Development Authority and the Heritage Foundation, organized a multi-dimensional event aimed at highlighting the importance of preserving cultural and historical heritage. This annual event constitutes an important platform to raise awareness of the importance of cultural monuments and historical sites in enhancing human interdependence and deepening cultural communication between different peoples.
The celebration included a series of important events, Including a workshop for students entitled “A Workshop to Awareness of the Importance of Heritage,” An interactive educational environment was provided for students to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of preserving heritage and consolidating their cultural values. The event also organized an art and creativity workshop. It aims to encourage creative expression of heritage and interaction with it through diverse and creative arts.
